OUR STORY
We met in San Francisco just after New Year's in 2022. Amadea was studying at UC Berkeley as a visiting scholar from her graduate program at TUM/LMU in Munich, and Krisna was building his last company, splitting time in New York. The moment we saw each other, his old dog Apollo went up to her like she was his favorite friend. Our first date was at the Palace of Fine Arts, where we ate wraps and talked for hours. Over the next two months, we became inseparable! In June, when she went back to Munich, Krisna gave up his apartment and followed her, kicking off an intercontinental love story!
Our first vacation together in 2022 - we flew from San Francisco to Hawaii!
Our first trip to Europe! Krisna got the full Munich experience and we went to Italy for a F1 race.
Long distance between EU and US for almost a year - airports became part of our day to day life.
Finally together: We moved to NYC - a dream for both of us became reality!
THE PROPOSAL
1,000,000 Days of Amadea. In the run-up to the proposal, Krisna surprised Amadea with a birthday countdown — little presents marked "30 Days of Amadea," "5 Days of Amadea," and so on. The gifts added up to clues for the big day, including a beautiful pen to go with a diary, inside which the ring was hidden under the "Story of Us." He proposed at the iconic Central Park Boathouse in New York. Amadea said yes to a wonderful round of applause, special desserts, champagne — and his sister Verna and brother-in-law Steve, who popped out in disguises from around the corner!
Afterwards, we went to the musical Moulin Rouge on Broadway, followed by a wonderful dinner at La Mercerie at Roman and Williams Guild in SoHo. Verna and Steve surprised us with the evening — Amadea's sister and brother-in-law, joined us for dinner. We even got to meet the cast and crew of the show!
